I called Twin Creeks on 8/9/2022 to cancel my son's membership (740C1152) because he went back to his high school in Indiana. However, my credit card has been charged every month since then. So I stopped by the pro shop 3 times to cancel it, each time, I signed a piece of paper of cancelation, was told to receive refund in a few days. Obviously it didn't work, so I visited the pro shop a couple of days ago, they told me to contact ARCIS where nobody answers the phone. A cancelation shouldn't be this difficult! My problem is still unsolved, I'm extremely disappointed!
Our club management AND Arcis can’t be bothered to return emails or phone calls, we get double billed for days or charges appear months after they actually happen, we lose access to the course for tournaments, and they run tournaments practically every Monday when the course is closed to members. The course never gets a break from wear and tear and weekday players spend their rounds waiting on maintenance crews to move or dealing with the noise from their equipment that doesn’t stop when golfers are present (this never used to be an issue). The pin positions aren’t correct and the tee boxes aren’t set up either. It feels like we as members are an imposition on our own course. And then there’s the weekends with packed tee sheets, multiple fivesomes within a single hour, no course marshal, and pace of play that can push 6 hours. We’ve lost access to the clubhouse and gym for almost a year due to renovations yet dues just continue to rise. But more than anything, the lack of communication and straight up unprofessional behavior from management make this club feel like anything but a private club. Lantana used to be awesome but now you can’t get help with anything, big or small.
My children have been students at the Dan Campbell Academy at Tatum Ranch for 5 years. Today we learned that Arcis Golf, the corporation that owns Tatum Ranch Golf Course, sent a two sentence letter to Dan Campbell Academy notifying them they have 30 days to vacate. 30 days for hundreds of kids and parents to find another golf program. Dan Campbell Academy is an amazing program. If a corporation, Arcis Golf, wanted the space back that was being leased to the academy for the past 15 years, you would think they give them 6-12 months notice. No they were given 30 days. Where are these kids supposed to go in 30 days notice to continue learning the game they love. It is a disgusting business practice and personally I hope word spreads how Arcis Golf is bullying a bunch of kids with their disgusting business practices.
I had a very unfortunate experience with an employee. I had played the back nine first starting my round on number 10. After a thunder shower and a delay I went back out on the course and started at number two because of the large pilr up on the number one tee. As I finished on number 9 I went to number 1. Wow finishing my final hole, an employee drives up to me and tells me to pick up my ball and leave. I informed him that this was my 18th hole and I needed to finish to make a score at which point he hurled an insult at me calling me a child of age 8 or something to that effect. I was humiliated insulted and enraged I will never return to this property Meadowbrook Lubbock. The employee identified himself by the name Cameron
Excellently run organization with solid values you can see expressed at each of their clubs. Strong ambition to grow the game of golf and elevate the club experience for all.
