I brought my Indian Motorcycle to A1 because I lost the keys somewhere in transit. Indian doesn't offer replacement barrel and keys for a Chieftain with an extra trunk. A1 told me they would make a new set of keys within a couple days. Not only were they timely fixing the locks, but great communicators during the process. I'm positive making keys from scratch for this motorcycle was not easy and they never complained. They embraced the challenge. Thank you again A1! I can lock up my motorcycle on my road trip this weekend.
I called and the person was nice but I was never asked the proper questions from their office and the person who came out was not able to make a key. I called back to reschedule and they wanted to charge me another service charge of 95 dollars to get the right person out I asked why and I was told It is on me the customer to inform them of the proper information before they come out. I said I don't know anything about ignitions or making keys so shouldn't you ask me what you need to know? I was told sorry. I said really that is it? And she said yes. I am calling someone else since I have to pay another service charge. In response to their reply: No keys were made. The guy came out was here for 5 min and said he couldn't do it. I am fine with the charge, but I don't think I should be charged again for a 2nd call when no one did anything the first time someone came out.
A1 Locksmith has to be the easiest and best experience to go. Their customer service, especially Sam who helped me out, is highly experienced and very helpful. 10/10 would recommend (if I needed help again).
I WOULD CALL ANOTHER COMPANY FIRST AND LET A1-LOCKSMITH BE THE LAST IF YOU CAN HELP IT !!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give it a -1 but I will accept the 1 STAR. We always use this company for our services at our location. Its always been good business or medium. Yet building a relationship with businesses that you can trust is a BIG FACTOR when it comes US. I am giving this business an UNDER RATED 1 STAR bc of the lack of communication between the technician Jonathan and myself and the owner of the price of charge for the lock change for our back door. They came out on Saturday, April 5 to change the front door and give 5 keys to match the front door and it didnt take but about 10 minutes if that for the amount of $240. Then we realized the front key of the old lock matched the back door. So Monday, April 7 I contacted A1 Locksmith to see if they could comeout and rekey the back door to match the new front door that they changed on Saturday. The representative Stephanie that took the call reassured that someone would come out and assist but NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL US to let us know they was done for the day at 6pm until someone texted me at 8pm saying "The technician assumed our business was closed so he cleared his schedule for the day". SMH VERY BAD BUSINESS WITHOUT JUST CONTACTING US TO LET US KNOW TO RESCHEDULE. INSTEAD THEY WENT OFF ASSUMPTION. (LACK OF COMMUNICATION) Then on today, April 8, 2025 the technician Jonathan shows up and after looking at the back lock and removing it he stated it would be a total of $190. The owner asked as a courtesy if we could get a discount due to the lack of communication from yesterday and not coming out to assist. (jokingly) but the technician Jonathan took offense to it and called his manager and MANAGER BECAME VERY ABRUPT AND RUDE. THEN STATED IT WOULD BE $190 FOR JUST THE TECHNICIAN TO COME OUT ALONG WITH $85 FOR THE PART $40 FOR TO REKEY THE LOCK. to keep from this being a massive long review just say the way the technician talked to me aggressively as a woman receiving the tone and abrupt from him was not acceptable and to think they blocked my other number I originally called from so I had to call from my office number lol. and say the services was very poor and will never use this company again. We would rather pay more and get great customer service from another company than to be treated like this as a consumer paying for the service. I see their reviews is hanging on a 4.0. I wished I could make it a -4.0 bc i recorded the way he was talking and getting defensively and how the manager talked on the phone and just to get them off the property and let this be the last interaction with us calling them to service us. We paid the poor service and let it be.
Tom Rosecrants is a highly knowledgeable and efficient locksmith. He adjusted some of the locks that previously were difficult to turn or had loose handles without having to ask when he was rekeying my home. He went above and beyond for my safety- I am grateful for Tom and A1.
